Ras Laffan LNG Export Terminal – Qatar

About This Project

Infrastructure royalty on LNG throughput at Ras Laffan Industrial City — the world's largest LNG export hub, responsible for approximately 77 million tonnes per annum. Qatar Energy operates the facility and holds long-term supply contracts with European utilities (Shell, TotalEnergies, ENI) and Asian buyers (JERA, Kogas, CNOOC) extending to 2040+. The royalty is $0.38/mmBtu on all throughput above 60M tonnes per annum, payable quarterly in USD. Qatar's North Field Expansion will add 48 mtpa by 2027, significantly increasing the royalty base.
